ABOUT US: CURRICULUM VITAE, DR. BORIS POBERAJ

Dr. Boris Poberaj is specialised in the treatment of sports injuries and degenerative diseases of the shoulder, knee and elbow.

Prior to returning from abroad, he worked in Qatar for five years as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in one of the world’s most elite sports hospitals for orthopaedic surgery and sports injuries Aspetar, which is also a recognized FIFA center. There he dealt with the treatment of injuries to top athletes from around the world, where successful surgery and returning to the competitive level are crucial.

Before Aspetar, he worked at Valdoltra Orthopaedic Hospital in the department of arthroscopy and sports injuries and at Bitenc Surgery. At the same time, he was an invited surgeon to several orthopaedic centers across Europe.

In addition to his surgical work with patients, he began to improve and develop new surgical techniques and instruments. Among other things, he developed a new technique for fixing the long head of the biceps.

He is co-founder of the European Ramen Association (ESA) at ESSKA and its former president and a member of numerous international and domestic professional associations (ESSKA, EFORT, AANA, SSAST).
